Payday 2 which came out August 13th in 2013 is finally getting a next generation release however the next generation release is quite sad in its performance. 505 games published Payday 2 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 running at 720p averaging around 25fps on that old hardware which is a truly awful frame rate for a first person shooter.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version is going to be 1080p and run at the average of 30fps showing that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are already quite outdated in their hardware. Payday 2’s producer Almir Listo had this to say.

“we weren’t able to go 60fps, we could do that, but that would mean we could only show four enemies at a time on-screen. That isn’t what Payday is about. Payday is about the onslaught of police officers coming at you at the same time, 20-30 rushing you.” – Almir Listo

What does this mean? It means that the systems are so handicapped! So early in their birth that they can’t handle a game that’s 2 years old made for PC at the standard that is 1080p and 60fps on the next generation hardware. This is yet again more proof that the systems are medico-ire at best and will continue to let gamers down in it’s console cycle. Consoles do truly hold back the medium known as gaming and if you don’t think that you’re in denial.

Payday 2: Crimewave is the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Payday 2 and will have all DLC and all that junk with the game. Enjoy the sloppy frames per second or get the real game here. – Craig Of GTN
