Why is the Uncharted movie having so many director issues lately? Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief) is no longer directing the film. Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman wanted the movie to be completed under a lower budget, while other sources indicate it’s a matter of “simply going in a new direction.”
The movie was originally announced in 2009. David O. Russell and Neil Burger both passes on the director chair, as well as other stars passing on parts such as, Mark Wahlberg, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Amy Adams, and Scarlett Johansson.
The Uncharted movie is consistently having issues, and after the Sony hack showing the world a look at a 124-page script that is probably going to change too.
