Microsoft has been talking a lot about Halo 6 when disucssing the storyline, timeline, where master chief ends up, among other things. However Halo 5 Guardians is due for release October 27th. Microsoft has claimed they are taking “serious planning” according to Halo franchise development director Frank O’Connor.

“We do kind of know what’s going to happen in the next game pretty well at this point. We’re doing serious, real planning and even some writing on the next game already, and that’s a luxury we’ve never been in that position before.”

With lots of attention on the new Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. Konami UK community manager Graham Day is claiming a lot of things the most interesting is his response to Konami making more Metal Gear Solid games without Hideo Kojima.

Day goes on to say in a recent interview,

“Yeah, course it can. Metal Gear is about the story, it’s about the characters…”

Day went on further telling people “Don’t believe everything you read in the press.” In regards to Konami leaving the AAA market to slang out some manky pachinko machines. For as far anyone knows Konami might of backtracked when they saw the brain trauma inducing numbers of copies sold.

Day further explains what was “taken out of context”

“Things have been taken out of context but that’s never changed. Just because mobile gaming has been embraced, that doesn’t mean everything else has to quit. Konami has a history of making the best games around and that is something that will continue. That won’t change anything going forward. So people should believe in Konami, and if I was to use a tagline, PES 2016’s tagline is ‘Love the past, play the future.’ And that is there for a reason. The future isn’t ending now. The future has a long, long way.”

Bungie has pretty much admitted the problems behind the leveling system Destiny launched with and how they knew about it beforehand. Well that was certainly nice of you Bungie. Sell gamers a disc locked scalped game, then tell people after they bought it a fundamental aspect was not really all that good.

Luke Smith talked about the level system along with some other challenges.

“The original Light system, when that went out the door, we were not thrilled with it,” Smith said. “We knew when that went out the door that we were going to need to revisit it. So that work basically began in earnest probably September or October. We had already started to work on a new proposal, the proposal that would become the Light 2.0 that’s in the game now. We were working on that as early as last fall.”

Smith had also discussed about a new leveling system involved with The Taken King DLC but had compatibility issues.

“We had to look at DLC 1 The Dark Below and DLC 2 House of Wolves and say, ‘OK, well, how can we set those two DLCs up to allowing for this leveling pivot?’ So in DLC 2, that’s why you see the introduction of the Etheric Light mechanic, because we were trying to get players to converge quickly at a single, common level because we knew where we were going to take them next.”

This game sees many problems and this addition to the pile is another issue to stack on the schlock that is Destiny.

Ubisoft recently told the video game world the post launch DLC maps will be free. The developer also cleared up any confusion on the number of maps that will be available at the launch of Rainbow Six Siege.

“At launch, Rainbow Six Siege will have 11 maps, playable both day or night, all using the full potential of our Real Blast destruction technology,” the publisher said in a statement, “In addition, all post-launch maps will be downloadable for free. We want players to stay with us for the long term and have ambitious post-launch plans that we will detail at a later stage.”

Rainbow Six Siege Beta starts September 24th unless Ubisoft delays the beta as well as the game itself.

2K Sports recently responded to criticism facing WWE2K16 and the lacking appearance of divas in the game.

2K Sports had a few things to say about the 120 roster reveal

“With our final roster reveal this past Monday, it was awesome seeing the excitement for The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Mikey Whipwreck, and more,” the developer said. “But it was clear that some in the community are frustrated by the lack of the newer Divas added to the main WWE roster recently.

As far as the divas,

“We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2k16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons, “

There has also been confirmation there will be No Four Horseman DLC.

The WWE 2K16 release date is set for October 27 on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3.

The new Capcom title Umbrella Corps. looks problematic from the first glimpse. There will be no story campaign, also it’s a competitive shooter with team killing each other inside of zombie drenched maps. You can use zombies as shields if that helps.

Valve’s Chet Faliszek has told gamers to pretty much not tolerate VR experiences that induce nausea. He has also been very vocal on his feelings about other developers in the field.

Faliszek went on record to say,

“The idea that VR must get you sick is bullshit. We have people come in who don’t want to do demos. In a party of ten people there will be someone who says, ‘I’m gonna be sick, I’m gonna be sick, I can’t do this.’

“That expectation is based on either what they’ve seen before or what they’ve heard.”

Valve has claimed to completely remove the problems associated with motion sickness and Virtual Reality headsets.
