Bethesda Says No More Pip Boys

Pete Hines marketing vice president has recently commented on the defense of not making more pip boys.

“We made a shitload of Pip-Boys, and we went back and made more, and went back and made more. I keep seeing stuff about, ‘Oh, you only did a few thousand.” No–we did a ton of these things. I think we did more of these things than we did for any collector’s edition we’ve ever done, ever,”

“We reached a point where we’d go back to the factories and they were like, ‘guys, this is it, sorry. This is as long as we can run the lines and as many of them as we can make.'”

The Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition costs $120 and comes with a Pip Boy Pocket Guide and poster.

Fallout 4 launches on November 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Crowdfunding Good or Bad?

Crowdfunding is inherently not a bad deal. It offers many opportunities for everyone from video game developers to bring a project to life, saving animal and human lives alike, which is a wonderful thing. However crowdfunding also has it’s share of serious problems when it comes to scumbag individuals who do everything from scamming people out of money, people giving false donations,  to Erik Chevalier literally stealing people’s money for “unrelated personal expenses:. All in all while crowdfunding can be the rocket fuel for some really awesome shit in the world, it also shows us just how sickening some people decide to abuse the service.

Indie Game The Flock is an Odd Duck

I can only sum up The Flock from Vogelsap as an odd duck. The first person asymmetrical multiplayer horror game drops Q3 2015. The major difference here is every time a player dies in the game, one life will be removed from the total population of the “Flock.”
When the Flock’s population hits zero, no one will be able to buy the game ever again. When this happens only the players who already bought The Flock will get to participate in what Vogelsap is calling a “cinematic finale.”

developers has said

“After the ending, the game will go offline permanently and no longer be playable,”

A representative at Vogelsap has also stated

“The game will not be playable offline. It is online multiplayer only.”

There is no news on the cost of the game just yet. Regardless The Flock is a strange one indeed, this could turn out disastrous or possibly an interesting marketing gimmick.
