Microsoft Wants to Battle Revenge Porn

We can all agree posting intimate pictures or videos of your ex spouse is wrong. Jacqueline Beauchere, Microsoft’s chief online safety officer talked about what is being done to battle it. Microsoft launched its own site where users of its services, including OneDrive, Xbox Live and Bing, can report instances of intimate images and videos that have been uploaded without their consent.
Beauchere says that while Microsoft has provided ways for users to report inappropriate, personally damaging content in the past, this site makes it easier to do and removes it globally.

The reporting site can’t reverse the violation of privacy felt by revenge porn victims, nor can it remove those images or videos from other services. However this is a step in the right direction to protecting people’s private lives.

Fallout 4 Romance Companions

It looks like there will be many options when it comes to romance in Fallout 4. Preston Garvey leader of a faction called The Commonwealth of Minutemen will be a potential companion. Romance wise not sure yet. Todd Howard revealed that players will be able to romance their companions, regardless of gender. How this exactly works was not discussed. Most likely you will have to build a bond with a character then be able to progress further in the relationship, or they could go to opposite end and just make it almost dummy proof allowing you to romance anyone much like a doll of some type…

eSports, Drug Testing, PED’s

Lots of news coming in when it comes to eSports, PED’s, and the logical step of drug testing when it comes to the matter.

According to WADA, bans can be issued “during competition” when participants are found to be using recreational drugs such as cocaine, marijuana, and MDMA (ecstasy). Medical use of marijuana has not been addressed.

The ESL released a statement.

“PEDs is a topic we are discussing at an organizational level and we will need to address industry wide moving forward to maintain competitive integrity,” read the statement. “We know we have to have a bigger discussion about it and that it’s a problem everyone is facing.”

eSports will have a drug testing policy, for medical users of prescription drugs or marijuana the future is still unsure.
