Editorial: Overkill The Walking Dead Game Should Be Good

This will be the first Walking Dead video game to feature cooperative play so that is good right? With Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios covering it there is a good chance it will be The Walking Dead game most of us want and it possibly ties into Payday 2 as well.

Rob Kirkman says.

“I can say that it will be Payday-esque because Starbreeze and Overkill are currently doing Payday,” Kirkman said. “But I’m told it will be in a bigger world than Payday currently encompasses. They are going to be learning a lot of stuff from Payday that they will be incorporating into The Walking Dead game.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC has been confirmed.

Editorial: Valve Allowing Devs to Ban Players & Currency Glitch Thoughts

Valve anti cheat software may not be enough anymore. Valve is currently allowing Devs to ban players that are malicious or disruptive players you know like cheating in multiplayer games and the like which it looks like this is more directed at.  Valve released a statement.

“Game developers inform Valve when a disruptive player has been detected in their game, and Valve applies the game ban to the account. The game developer is solely responsible for the decision to apply a game ban,” Valve said. “Valve only enforces the game ban as instructed by the game developer.”

So it’s more like Valve is going to keep track of what the developers report and act accordingly. This system is ripe for abuse by overzealous devs but with Valve there as the moderator and final judgement.

News: Telltale Games Signs on With Marvel

Telltale Games recently announced on their blog. That they are now going to be working with Marvel Entertainment to team up and work on a new Telltale project that will come out sometime in 2017. We said 2016 in the show by mistake. Telltale Games has had some pretty good games come out and some lackluster ones as well. With a Minecraft game and now a Marvel project in the works. The point and click adventure genre is looking fresher than usual. Or it could be disastrous.
