Feature: Sunset Overdrive is Human Pinball With GUNS

Sunset Overdrive was more fun than originally anticipated. While the game itself from Insomniac Games. The game is actually very easy to learn and really brings out an important point that video games can actually still be silly whacked out and have reliable gameplay. The game has some issues and feels like Tony Hawk in a way when it comes to the story line and how the game introduces characters and progresses the narrative.

Feature: Tomb Raider Reboot is Not a Tomb Raider Game

The Tomb Raider reboot has made Square Enix 8.5 million and yet nobody seems to take into account that the current Tomb Raider game we have is not really a Tomb Raider game at all.

Darrell Gallagher studio head says in a statement

“Tomb Raider ignited and expanded the fan base, pushing the series to a new level. The game’s incredible sales success reflects the passionate response of players. Our studio is proud of what we accomplished with the game,”

“By the end of this month we will surpass 6 million units for our Tomb Raider reboot, and, having achieved profitability back in 2013 Tomb Raider has exceeded profit expectations and continues to make significant contributions to our overall financial performance.”

News: FTC Accepts Sony Playstation Vita Settlement

There is a lot to this mother f’in case so here’s the divvy savvy?

The Federal Trade Commission gave final approval of a settlement with Sony Computer Entertainment America and Deutsch LA, the marketing agency Sony used for the launch of the PlayStation Vita. The FTC has barred Sony from creating misleading advertising claims in the future, and agreed to a restitution plan that will see Sony give people who purchased a Vita before June 1, 2012 a check or PSN credit of $25, or one of three bundles of downloadable PS3 and Vita games worth up to $100. Eligible customers must fill out a form and mail it in by June 30 of this year.

As for Deutsch LA, the FTC took exception to a social media campaign it ran in where employees sent out promotional tweets using an official hashtag from their personal accounts. Those tweets were violating the FTC’s endorsement guidelines because they didn’t represent the views of “actual consumers” and they weren’t disclosed as coming from Deutsch LA employees. The FTC’s order explicitly prevents the company from misrepresenting endorsers of games or consoles as independent users, and requires the company to disclose connections between such endorsers and itself.

To say the least this is something that Sony and Deutsch LA deserve for pretty much puling a fast one to make money by lying and manufacturing a fake interest.

Feature: The Legend of Zelda Delay is OK…For Now

Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U has been delayed and not appearing at E3.

Eiji Aonuma in a statements says

“In these last three months, as the team has experienced firsthand the freedom of exploration that hasn’t existed in any Zelda game to date, we have discovered several new possibilities for this game,”

he goes on to say

“As I have watched our development progress, I have come to think that rather than work with meeting a specific schedule as our main objective, and releasing a game that reflects only what we can create within that scheduled time, I feel strongly that our focus should be to bring all these ideas to life in a way that will make The Legend of Zelda on Wii U the best game it can possibly be.”

Originally announced in E3 2014 and with 2015 not in the eye line of release. We can at least expect this to come out in 2016. We will see if Eiji Aonuma’s claims are validated then.

Feature: Mortal Kombat X Easy Fatalities & Goro DLC Thoughts

Netherrealm Studios Mortal Kombat X has included and confirmed much suspicion to the easy fatality options. While for some it can take away from the skill of spending countless hours learning the right combination, distance and so on. Other feel it’s nice to be able to have a simpler method to produce bloody bloody bloodshed. Considering it’s an option not much hard there. Goro has been announced as DLC in the future but players can still pre order the game and receive Goro as a bonus. Mortal Kombat X is due out April 14, 2015 but, only for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait until 6/2/2015.
