Drugs in Esports is NOT Surpising
Drugs in esports…Yeah and gravity is real. How is this so surprising? Ever since one of the North American professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players Kory “Semphis” Friesen admitted that “everybody” does Adderall at eSports events. While this is clearly not directed at everyone who plays eSports and the statement seemed more in general of the people Friesen associates with. Friesen goes on to say
“I don’t even care”, he said. “We were all on Adderall. I don’t even give a fuck. It was pretty obvious if you listened to the comms. People can hate it or whatever.”
There are many things that will come of this news, One you will see drug testing, two there might even be a ban on all uppers in general unless medically required to take. The simple truth is esports is riddled with match fixing, gambling, trading insider information, drugs. This just puts esports in the same category as any other industry. This is not surprising at all, and people will always try to find a way to cheat to win.
