Fallout 4 Claims 400+ Hours Gameplay

There has been lots of talk about Fallout 4 when it comes to how much is really going to be in the game content wise.

Fallout 4 lead producer Jeff Gardiner said,

“I’ve played the game for probably 400 hours, and I’m still finding stuff that I haven’t seen.”

Gardiner talked about it is partly the result of the game’s crafting system.

“It’s all common sense visual stuff. If it doesn’t connect to the generator, the power doesn’t work. You can actually flag stuff to say, ‘I’m looking for this stuff because I want to make this’ which means that when you’re scavenging anything that fulfills the requirement gets flagged in the world. When you connect stuff to the computer terminal you have a lot of control and sort of fine tuning. If you’ve got something that plays music, you can actually define how it’s playing music.”

Fallout 4 launches on November 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Mighty No. 9 Release Date Delayed

Mighty No. 9 from designer Keiji Inafune has been delayed. Comcept recently confirmed the rumors.

“As we have communicated in the updates to our backers, all of the core content for the game is developed and in a complete state. However, there are still bugs and issues pertaining to the online features that are included in the game. These bugs and issues have a direct affect on enjoyment of the game, so a decision was made to work these issues out before release,” The company had said on it’s kickstarter page.

Comcept had a few things to say discussing another platform survey.

“Considering the fact that the game’s release has been delayed, we are planning to open another platform survey once a final release date has been settled upon.”

As it looks right now Mighty No. 9 most likely will come out sometime in 2016.

Mafia III: Build Your Crime Empire

Mafia III is different. The game is set in New Orleans in the late 60s, the Italian mob are the antagonists or bad blokes in this game, You play as Lincoln Clay, a black Vietnam veteran who, on returning to the US, finds work with the black mob. It’s here that Clay an orphan finds the family he’s been searching for, but then his adoptive family is betrayed by the Italian mob.
One topic of note is how violent the game has escalated since the last installment. Now with the addition of stealth kills or instant take downs, there will be some fun at least visually with some fun executions like taking a kitchen knife to a baddie. Vito does make an appearance so glad the voice actor could get a paycheck.
The ability to create a mob empire is compelling, the claims of an actual open world something desired in the previous Mafia games. However how it all will work is the most important aspect along with the storyline and writing have to be top notch here in order for players to care about this essentially revenge plot Clay is undertaking.

Bungie Bans Destiny Players For Manipulating Traffic

Bungie is at it again banning cheaters who are manipulating network traffic in Destiny.

“We know you want justice. We’ve seen the chatter. We’ve read the reports. Yesterday and today, our Security Response Team has restricted access to the Crucible by the worst offenders among us all,” Bungie wrote. “We started with a look at the most notorious cheaters that had been reported by other players. After a cross-reference against our own player-data, we gave the Banhammer a mighty swing. Contained in its blast radius were hundreds of people who have manipulated network traffic.”

Bungie also made statements about the cheating issues in Destiny

“We’re committed to protecting Destiny against cheaters,” Bungie said. “Enjoy your game. Just play it fair. That’s all we ask. Short of your own commitment to honor, we’ll take action ourselves. It’s not a thing we enjoy doing–and certainly something we’ll never quantify or describe in agonizing detail. The damned shall remain anonymous–their nefarious actions a mystery.”

Bungie also made sure to remind everyone of using the in game reporting tools and also made this statement about publicly shaming cheaters.

“Shaming your offenders in a video might feel good, but it doesn’t factor into our process for passing down a guilty verdict, and it might get you in trouble with the moderators of your favorite Guardian clubhouse.”

Mad Max Gameplay Thoughts

Mad Max is looking like one of the more anticipated games coming up. Developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Of course since we are in Mad Max land the game itself is set in a post apocalyptic wasteland. Yes we will have vehicle customization because it’s Mad Max and not having that would just be poor judgement to put it politely. In the gameplay we also saw some of the hand to hand combat (cough batman), the vehicle combat and saw some of the vast open wasteland players will be experiencing. Only time will tell with this game, hopefully it will be a good example or reference point where people can point to it and say “that’s a good game.” Will we get it? That is the major question.

September 1st, 2015 in the USA, Australia September 2nd, 2015, September 4th in Europe for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Anno 2205 Loses Closed Beta

The Anno 2205 closed beta is being cancelled. No not joking, Ubisoft literally stripped away the pre order incentive, with no explanation to why they would be cancelling it.

November 3rd, 2015 still seems to be the release date for this title. The game will be playable at Gamescom.
