Feature: Capcom’s Business Model is REMASTER REMAKE RECYCLE

Capcom in a recent Q & A stated

“HD remasters of our catalog hit titles will be one of our key business activities …digital sales created new demand for these titles. For example, overseas download sales of Resident Evil HD Remastered in the past fiscal year were far higher than we expected. It is not a risk but rather the growth of the download sales channel gives users more options. We regard this as growth in opportunities to have allow access for more people to enjoy our games.”

The biggest problem is Capcom is putting a lot of faith in hoping fans remain interested in new remastered versions of games, some which we may want others we want at the wayside never to be seen again. Hopefully the silver lining is the possibility of new IP’s we can really care about and they won’t continue to only remake games that gimmick will run dry quickly.

News: Oculus Rift Is The New Sex Box

Palmer Luckey explains his stance on allowing virtual reality porn on the Oculus Rift VR headset. Oculus itself won’t be providing it at least not yet, it’s more of they will allow it because of…..reasons.

“The Rift is an open platform. We don’t control what software can run on it,” he said. “And that’s a big deal.”

There is still no word when the Oculus Rift will be available to consumers but in all honesty do we really want this to be the basis of why people buy a VR headset? To watch people having a shag? Hopefully not but you never know with the current way the world is. Sadly this will be a huge reason the Oculus Rift succeeds in the marketplace.

Editorial: Why Hatred is an Equal Opportunity Offender

There has been discussion about why Kill The Faggot was taken down from Steam Greenlight yet Hatred is allowed to remain. This is not fucking rocket science folks. Hatred is a game about killing everyone. Kill The Faggot is about killing homosexual people in a distasteful manner. Comparing the two is like comparing bananas to a chunk of wood. Kill The Faggot is like a hate speech disguised as artistic creation with no actual point or worth while reasoning behind it. Hatred on the other hand is simply honest in what it plans to do with it’s game. It is an equal opportunity offender. Nobody is singled out because everyone is the target. The protagonist is clear in the message that the human beings is his problem not people of different sexual orientation.

Feature: No Love For Star Wars Battlefront 3…Yet

Star Wars Battlefront 3 from Electronic Arts and DICE has been in the news a lot. While people have very polarizing view points on this game, from sheer disgust to complete naivety about the bad situation Battlefront is in. With Electronic Arts and DICE clearly devoted to placing players on the ground in the trenches using the partner system, no loadouts, everything unlockable with xp,  and no storyline whatsoever. One has to think with so much emphasis going into the ground combat even though we will have dog-fighting which is nice. What faith can we really have at this point with Star Wars Battlefront being the game that will live up to realistic expectations and not feel like a shilling. Only time will tell but how it looks right now. No love for you Battlefront. Disney and EA with the 10 year deal might be a good thing for bridging the gap for younger audiences who don’t know star wars to the degree that older fans or fanatics of the franchise have, so that could be why many of us feel this game is going to be sub par. For younger fans they won’t care they will play it and enjoy it for what it is which is nice if your not the one paying for it.

News: Telltale Teases More Walking Dead Before Season 3

Telltale Games in the news again, Telltale PR boss Job Stauffer has lead people on in believing we will be seeing more Walking Dead but not in the form of a whole new season. It will most likely be a DLC much like the 400 Days DLC from the first season of The Walking Dead games Telltale has been making.

Job Stauffer’s statement

“Oh, man, I’m going to get an email about this. The Walking Dead Season 3 is not necessarily something you can expect to see super, super, super soon. But I think you can perhaps, maybe, expect to see The Walking Dead again sooner, if that makes sense. Does that make sense?”

With Telltale officially confirming that it was working on a third season for The Walking Dead no other details have surfaced so far.

The Payday 2: Crimewave Edition gives players most of the extras from the PC version of the game will be made available on Microsoft’s Xbox One and Sony’s Playstation 4, as well as improved textures. People have been asking me to talk about this subject for a while now since hearing about the release date and watching the trailer. I refer people back to a segment where I talked about Minecraft on PC compared to console versions and the same statements rings true. If you want the best possible version of Payday 2 get it on PC. If you don’t want to or don’t have access to a gaming pc and own a next gen console. A silver medal for you.

The PS4/One version of the game will be out on June 16th

Gameplay: Payday 2 – The Meltdown Heist

Back again for another attempt with a marvelous success at Meltdown the newest heist from Payday 2. This time we are going to use the car because forklifts are slow and for anyone who plays this game. Cloakers are bad KILL DA CLOAKER!! More heists plus more in the future.

Meltdown is the new Heist in Payday 2 in which you must go back to the Murkywater warehouse that you broke into on the Shadow Raid job but this time you go in loud.

A little help to tackle this heist:

When it comes to this particular map it is smart to utilize a mastermind/enforcer skill set mainly for the ability to shout at your teammates to revive them, It really does come in handy. Snipers are everywhere so it’s best to have someone in the team with a long distance rifle or something to combat them with. With the enforcer being able to move bags much eaiser and throw them further he is your best bet to secure loot faster into the trunk of the car. Other than that practice makes perfect and that is the best tip anyone can give. You have to play the game itself in order to learn the patterns the AI make.
