News: Life Is Strange Episode 2 March 13th Release To Be Delayed

“Four million Americans wrote this agency to make known their ideas, thoughts, and deeply held opinions about Internet openness. They lit up our phone lines, clogged our e-mail in-boxes, and jammed our comment system. That might be messy, but whatever our disagreements on net neutrality are, I hope we can agree that’s democracy in action and something we can all support.” – Jessica Rosenworcel
“Great online video game experiences depend upon low latency, high bandwidth connections. We hope that the rule announced today by the FCC will promote continued development of fast online connections while protecting gamers from anti-competitive and discriminatory practices.” – The Entertainment Software Association
Turtle Rock Studios game Evolve has been met with lots of rightful gamer backlash when it comes to the outrageous DLC content. With 44 different DLC items, mostly new skins. Evolve offers a regular version for $60 and a deluxe version for $80 which includes the season pass. There are 40 different items available via the store. Now this is all skins or skin packs, and items will run you between $1.99 and $6.99 each. That’s $135.56 in total! Gamers are boycotting this game while others just shrug and accept this madness!

Evolve can be purchased on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Microsoft Windows.

YouTube has went through so many redesigns in the past and I’ll show you an image below to let you see some of the recent redesigns YouTube has done in the past. Currently I have to say the Homepage of YouTube is very unattractive. I’d say the whole site is extremely unappealing to me. As a desktop user I feel like I’m viewing on mobile with it’s grey background that’s full of mobile widget boxes. It’s just very undesirable and I wouldn’t go there if not for the videos themselves.

Popular YouTube channels such as ScrewAttack that puts burnt in video ads in their videos. To identify the burnt ad in this video it is the first thing you hear about Destiny. Destiny is featured in their highly popular DEATH BATTLE series and that is affiliated sponsorship. YouTubers normally do this to justify the means that meet the ends for creating a top notch show. Many YouTubers use affiliate marketing because of the wide spread use of Adblock and truthfully there’s no one to blame but the people using Adblock themselves.
The video above features Micheal Pachter from Gametrailers answering a question about how ads effect content creators and what will happen if people ad block the internet. If companies don’t bring in a profit companies go away. Solely relying on Ads on the internet is a basic monetary principle for any online business. Somehow people feel self entitled and attempt to block all these advertisements but have no problem reading or watching the content that these ads are presented on. I personally weep for the species. As a note if you like a product, service or brand on the web don’t block their ads. Online businesses don’t do this stuff for their health and they need to have monetary compensation to provide themselves, staff and so on with a pay wage so that they may have food in their families bellies and a roof over their heads.

So there in lies the problem. Adblockers can’t block burnt in affiliate ads from a video. So burnt in ads helps the company grow. But now using burnt in affiliate ads are forbidden unless directly through Google themselves which hinders the revenue flow to these companies. Google if you’re reading this the answer to all your problems is to simply beat out Adblock and you won’t have this problem ever again.

Maybe with the help of Lionsgate they can get more people to work on these projects and put quality back into Telltales Games titles. Telltale games is an extremely capable company and I hate to see them fall into the gallows of pumping out titles of poor quality much like Ubisoft is doing currently.
The Lionsgate and Telltale Games merger probably means they are going to make content specifically within the properties of Lionsgate media and little is known at this point on what will happen because of this company merger. I’d wager it’s just bad news for other companies wanting to get their shows Telltaled! – Craig Of GTN
